Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested 26-year-old BR Friday night after he got into an argument with a bartender at Fluid Lounge and punched him.
Deputies say the punch made the victim fall to the ground and a witness recalled R “sucker punched” the man when he was looking away after the two got into an argument.
The incident was caught on security camera footage and provided to law enforcement, according to deputies.
After he punched the man, R walked next door to World of Beer, where he was met by law enforcement.
After placing him in handcuffs, deputies found a hollow-point .22 long rifle round of ammunition in his pocket.
R has a prior felony conviction, making the possession of ammunition a felony.
He was also previously convicted of battery.
R is charged with felony battery, prior conviction, resisting without violence, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
