Palatka man died on Friday after flipping over his SUV in Marion County

State troopers say a man is dead after losing control of a vehicle in Marion County on Friday.

Florida Highway Patrol officials say the 44-year-old man from Palatka was driving an SUV south on State Road 19, just three miles south of County Road 314 near Fort McCoy.

He lost control, the SUV flipped over, throwing him out of the vehicle just before 4 p.m..

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
