Fire breaks out at Lake County home

 A fire broke out early Sunday at a home in Lake County, according to a news release.

Officials from Leesburg Fire Rescue said they responded around 3 a.m. to Margaret Drive, where the second floor of the home was fully involved.

According to the release, crews from Tavares Fire Department and Lake County Fire Rescue assisted with the fire that has since been put out.

“Crews were able to make a quick stop on the fire, containing it to the area of origin,” the release read in part.

A Lake County official initially said one person was taken to the hospital but later said no one was injured.

No other information was released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
