Woman dies in Volusia County crash after striking utility pole on SR-415

An Orlando woman died early Sunday after her vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened before 4:30 a.m. on State Road 415 near Rasley Road.

According to a crash report, the woman was driving a 2021 Nissan Sentra south on SR-415 when she lost control of the vehicle, went across the northbound lane and hit a pole.

The 44-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
