Two children are dead after an overnight mobile home fire in Escambia County.

Officials say Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to a call just before 1 a.m. for a fully involved mobile home fire on Flaxman Street in the Grand Oak Mobile Home Park off Lillian Highway.

The fire was under control by 1:06 a.m., according to officials.

Officials say in addition to the two fatalities, three individuals were hospitalized.

The ages of the children and the condition of the three individuals have not been released.

The mobile home is considered a total loss, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to officials.
