A 74-year-old man was struck and killed Thursday night in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The deadly wreck happened on Colonial Drive near Old Cheney Highway near Orlando.
The FHP said a 22-year-old man was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze east on Colonial Drive, west of Old Cheney Highway, when the man was crossing Colonial and entered the direct path of the car.
The man was taken to AdventHealth East Orlando, where he was pronounced dead, according to an FHP crash report.
The driver and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman, were not injured.
Eastbound lanes of Colonial Drive were closed in the area after the crash but later reopened.
