According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 32-year-old man from Jamaica died as a result of a car accident on Friday night.
FHP says the man was riding an electric scooter west in the eastbound turn lane of Hwy 98. He was going against traffic but then moved into the bike lane.
A car heading East moved into the right turn lane, and the front of the car hit the front of the man’s scooter, according to FHP.
We’re told the man on a scooter came to final rest in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 98.
