A 70-year-old Pensacola woman was killed in a head-on collision in Escambia County last Thursday evening.
According to Florida Highway Patrol the crash happened on Highway 97 just north of South Highway 99 around 7:50 p.m.
FHP says the crash involved a Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Cruz. Both were traveling on State Road 97 when the vehicles collided.
The other driver involved was a 31-year Atmore woman. She only received minor injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
