25-year-old pedestrian critically injured in Okaloosa County crash

A 25-year-old Navarre man is critically injured after being struck by a sedan in Okaloosa County on Wednesday night.

Troopers say the incident occurred at 9 p.m. on SR-85 (Eglin Parkway) north of Sunset Drive when the pedestrian, for unknown reasons, entered the northbound outside lane and was hit by the sedan driven by a 49-year-old Shalimar man.

The pedestrian was transported to HCA Florida Destin-Fort Walton Emergency Room with critical injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation.

No further details have been released.
