Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to a plane crash in the Grant-Valkaria area Monday night that the pilot was able to walk away from.
According to BCFR, the pilot refused treatment or transport after crashing near the intersection of Grant Road and Babcock Street SE.
ADS-B flight data shows the pilot line up the plane, a 1979 Cessna Skyhawk, to land on Babcock Street just south of Grant Road shortly before 7 p.m. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said the plane crashed just off the roadway.
WESH 2 has reached out to the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board for more information about the crash.
