A driver died on Thursday after suffering a possible medical episode and crashing into a tree in Pine Hills, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. along N Hiawassee Road, south of Stardust Lane.
According to a preliminary FHP crash report, the driver was operating a 2022 Toyota Camry and traveling north in a business parking lot when they lost control of the car. As a result, the Toyota left the paved parking lot, entered a ditch, and struck a tree, the report states.
