Multi-vehicle crash on Normandy Boulevard leaves one dead: Florida Highway Patrol

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 62-year-old man died Friday morning after he was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Normandy Boulevard and Combs Road.

According to FHP, the 62-year-old, who was driving a pickup truck, and another car were heading east on Normandy when, for unknown reasons, the man swerved left and crashed into the other car.

Following the initial crash, the pickup truck then crashed into another SUV that was parked in a nearby lot.

The pickup truck’s driver was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, FHP said.

One lane of Normandy eastbound, just west of I-295, was briefly shut down due to the deadly crash.

Troopers indicated earlier that they believe the driver of the truck suffered a medical emergency and then veered into another lane before crashing with the two other vehicles.
