Marion County Fire Rescue crews said nobody was injured in a house fire in Citra on Saturday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 3000 block of NE 155th Place in Citra around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday for reports of a house on fire with heavy smoke and visible flames.
Crews arrived shortly before 5 p.m. to find the home on fire and flames spreading to a nearby shed, vehicle and some trees.
Fire crews quickly deployed hose lines and worked to suppress the fire. Additional firefighters arrived to help get the fire under control.
MCFR said the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes of crews getting to the scene.
The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation, and MCFR said the American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the family.
