Firefighters battle house fire on Glendale Avenue

Firefighters responded to a house fire in Lehigh Acres overnight.

The home is along Glendale Avenue, which is just off Joel Boulevard.

Reporters on the scene saw smoke pouring out of windows as firefighters with the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District worked to get the fire under control.

Lee County Deputies and LCEC workers were also spotted.

Lehigh Acres Fire said that the call was received at 2:48 a.m., and the fire was called out at 3:17 a.m.

The state fire marshal said no one was in the house when the fire broke out and that no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
