A 53-year-old Winter Springs woman was struck and killed Sunday evening while walking across Lee Road in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened around 6:20 p.m. near Kingswood Drive.
According to a crash report, the woman walked into the path of a 2010 Ford Fusion that was heading west on Lee Road.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver was uninjured and remained on-scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
