A deadly crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle occurred Tuesday evening on South Congress Avenue near Atlantis Plaza in Lantana.
Investigators reported that a pickup truck was turning left into the plaza when it collided with a motorcycle heading north. The motorcyclist, 39-year-old Joshua Rene of Lantana, was thrown from his bike and died at the scene. The truck driver, 50-year-old Clifton Jackson from Stuart, was not hurt.
Deputies said there are no traffic signals at that intersection, and the crash is still under investigation.
