A man died on Friday morning following a head-on crash with a pickup truck on U.S. 90, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
FHP said the crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. when the man, who was driving east on the roadway, began turning left into a driveway. He then backed up his vehicle to reenter the roadway when a pickup truck crashed into the man’s front bumper.
All lanes on U.S. 90 near the U.S. 301 bypass were blocked for hours Friday morning due to the fatal crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 7:30 a.m., all lanes of eastbound and westbound U.S. 90 were closed from the 301 bypass to Brandy Branch Road.
The road reopened around 11 a.m.
