Fort Lauderdale police and fire rescue crews responded to a shooting Sunday evening near the 2300 block of Northwest Sixth Street, authorities said.
Officers were called to the scene at about 7:40 p.m. and found an a man with gunshot wounds.
Fire crews transported him to Broward Health Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The shooter remained at the scene and is cooperating with detectives.
Police said the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains ongoing.
