Woman seriously injured after truck overturns and lands in water in Santa Rosa County

A 34-year-old Pace woman is seriously injured after a crash in Santa Rosa County on Monday night.

Troopers say the crash occurred on US-90 near Jim’s Fish Camp around 11:13 p.m. when the pickup truck she was driving left the roadway.

The truck traveled through the grass median, collided with a wrong-way sign and the guardrail, and overturned, coming to rest in the water, according to FHP.

Troopers say the driver managed to extricate herself and was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Another vehicle collided with debris from the crash, but its occupants were unharmed.

Criminal charges are pending in this case, according to FHP.
