Gainesville woman arrested after threatening woman with gun, hitting her with car

A woman was arrested after Gainesville police received reports of aggravated assault and battery Tuesday night.

Officers say they responded to the victim’s home in the 1200 block of SW 16th Ave around 9:30 p.m., where AQ, 35, arrived uninvited and challenged her to a physical fight, threatening her with a gun.

They say the victim tried to walk away, and Q entered her car and hit her, continuing to drive as the victim held onto the hood. She then braked hard, causing the victim to be thrown onto the pavement, and fled the scene.

The victim sustained multiple injuries, and a witness provided a video of the incident to law enforcement.

Officials say they located Q at her place of work, where she was arrested and taken to the Alachua County Jail. After searching her car, they found the gun used to threaten the victim and a quantity of cannabis.

Q faces charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and aggravated stalking.
