Lee County deputies responded to a deadly crash that left one person dead involving two vehicles at the Stringfellow Road and Avalon Lane intersection on Pine Island Friday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an adult died in the crash.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, all northbound and southbound lanes of Stringfellow Rd. were closed following the crash, and drivers were advised to seek an alternative route.

FHP said the crash is under investigation.
