Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a deadly Saturday night crash on Silver Star Road in Orange County.
Troopers said the crash happened at 10:16 p.m. when a Honda CR-V traveling westbound on Silver Star approaching Hiawassee Road struck a man who was running northbound across the street. The pedestrian was transported from the scene to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
FHP said the victim was a 29-year-old Orlando man.
The Honda’s driver, a 20-year-old Orlando man, was not injured and remained at the scene.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
