Haines City crash involving ambulance leaves 2 in critical condition, deputies say

Two people are in critical condition after a crash involving an ambulance in Haines City.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash involving an ambulance and a truck on Monday night around 8:30 p.m.

According to deputies, three people were inside the ambulance: the driver and two passengers.

All three were taken to a local hospital, where the two passengers are in critical condition, and the driver was treated and released.

The driver of the truck was also taken to a local hospital and appears to be fine, the sheriff’s office said.

This is a developing story.
