Five adults, one child, and at least one dog and two cats, were displaced from their home in Englewood after a fire broke out Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

JFRD said the fire started at approximately 6:30 a.m. at a mobile home on Hudnall Road, between Philips Highway and Spring Park Road, near Interstate 95.

According to JFRD, one adult was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Others had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The smoke could be seen from at least a mile away, even all the way from I-95.

The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the home’s occupants.

The cause is still under investigation.
