A man was shot Monday afternoon after an exchange over a cellphone purchase turned violent.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a man in his 20s was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said the man met someone he knew to sell a phone around 3:30 p.m. on Hunt Street in the Lackawanna neighborhood.
Sometime during the exchange, an altercation happened, and the man was shot.
The man was taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
This appeared to be an isolated incident.
