Escambia County deputies are investigating a weekend shooting in Ensley.

According to the sheriff’s office, the incident happened Saturday on Briese Lane.

Deputies say a caller reported that someone was ramming his trailer with a truck.

When officers arrived, they found the caller with a non life-threatening gunshot wound to his cheek, according to the sheriff’s office. However, deputies say there is no evidence of the reported ramming.

The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies have not located or identified a suspect.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
