1 killed, 3 hurt in crash on Poinciana Blvd in Kissimmee

A deadly crash in Kissimmee is under investigation after one woman was killed and three others were injured early Thursday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Woodmont Boulevard and Poinciana Boulevard just after midnight on Thursday morning.

Troopers said a 24-year-old woman driving a 2024 Kia Forte was stopped facing east on Woodmont Boulevard at a stop sign.

When she attempted to cross Poinciana Boulevard, troopers say she didn’t yield at the stop sign and entered the direct path of a southbound 2011 Honda Accord traveling in the inside lane.

As a result, the front of the Honda crashed into the left side of the Kia.

The Kia’s driver and a passenger — both 24-year-old women from Kissimmee — were taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The backseat passenger in the Kia, a 55-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Additionally, the driver of the Honda, a 39-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
