Man arrested on DUI manslaughter charges after fatal crash in Lee County

A man was arrested in Lee County on DUI manslaughter charges after a deadly crash on Pennsylvania Avenue and Rio Vista Circle.

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol say that on Dec. 20, 25-year-old EAMB was driving down Pennsylvania Avenue, approaching a curve, when he traveled off the roadway.

Two pedestrians, a 39-year-old male and 37-year-old female from Bonita Springs, were walking their dog along the Pennsylvania Avenue sidewalk when B’ car collided with them. The 39-year-old male and the dog were both pronounced dead on the scene.

The 37-year-old female was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

B and his passenger were both transported to the hospital with serious injuries. B was arrested on Dec. 21 and charged with two DUIs and DUI manslaughter.
