Police: Woman injured during shooting in Fort Lauderdale

A woman was injured during a shooting on Sunday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

Police officers responded shortly after 3:35 p.m. to the area of West Cypress Creek Road and 31 Avenue, and they were searching for the shooter.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel took the woman to Broward Health Medical Center.

Detectives asked that anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
