The Florida Highway Patrol says that one person died after a vehicle crash in Clay County late Sunday evening.
According to the official crash report, FHP says that at around 9 p.m., the driver of an SUV, a 40-year-old man from Orange Park, was traveling southbound on Doctors Lake Drive approaching Admirals Walk Drive east.
Upon traveling on the southbound shoulder, FHP says that the man “failed to negotiate the left curve,” where it is said he lost control and his vehicle overturned into the shoulder.
FHP says that the driver was ejected on the northbound shoulder.
