The search for a dangerous dog in Gainesville is now over.
Officials with Alachua County say the dog is now in the county’s custody after attacking its owner near the Bivens Cove Apartments on Southwest 13th Street on Tuesday.
Alachua County Animal Services had issued a public safety alert while they looked for the dog. Officials say they found the dog with its owner.
The dog was placed on a quarantine as the investigation into the incident continues.
