Alachua County Fire Rescue and Newberry Fire Rescue put out a Chimney fire at a home Tuesday night.
ACFR officials say they responded to a chimney fire at a home just before 9:30 pm. When crews arrived, they reported it as a structure fire as it spread beyond the chimney and into the surrounding walls and attic space.
Crews were able to put the fire out quickly.
ACFR officials say the fire was caused by the ignition of built up creosote in the chimney.
