Motorcycle rider dies after hitting debris in Flagler County, Florida Highway Patrol says

A Flagler Beach man suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle crash near Bunnell early Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 12:42 a.m. on U.S. 1, south of Belle Terre Boulevard, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the 32-year-old man was riding southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 1 as the motorcycle struck a piece of debris in the roadway. The man was unable to maintain control of the bike — which had begun to wobble — and was thrown onto U.S. 1, the report states.

The motorcycle went into the wood line and struck a tree while the man tumbled to final rest within the outside travel lane, troopers said.
