Just before 2 pm on Christmas Day, firefighters in Chipley were dispatched to a house fire on Church Avenue.

Crews from Chipley fire and Bonifay fire responded to the call.

There were no injuries reported, but the house was a total loss.

Thankfully, fire officials were able to prevent the fire from spreading to any nearby structures.

According to social media, the house is one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood.

The fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal — but it is believed that it might have been some sort of electrical fire.

The family has a Venmo set up to accept donations from anyone willing to donate to @jasonmelissamartin.

Many local businesses are also in the process of creating fundraisers for the family.
