Suspect arrested after 3 shot during fight inside Jacksonville bar, police say

Three people are recovering after being shot early Sunday morning during a fight inside a Jacksonville bar, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said officers responded to Tipsy Bar and Grill around 3:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting.

Investigators said a fight broke out inside the restaurant, and security tried to detain one of the people. Police say that the man then pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting a security guard and two other victims.

Police said a woman suffered a gunshot wound to her ankle, a man was shot in the rear, and a third victim was shot in the lower back. All three victims are stable in a local hospital, according to JSO.

Detectives found shell casings inside the bar and are reviewing surveillance video as part of the investigation.

Police arrested a suspect.
