16-year-old killed in shooting on 26th Street in Orange County

– A 16-year-old boy was shot in killed in Orange County on Sunday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.

The fatal shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of 26th Street.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the teen was taken to the hospital where he died. Deputies on Monday identified him as Lil’raylin Harrison.

The sheriff’s office initially said Harrison was 17 years old.

An investigation is ongoing, and no other information has been released.

Sunday’s incident marks at least the third fatal shooting of a teen in the last five days in Orange County.

On Christmas Eve, A 17-year-old was shot to death near a condominium complex in the 5500 block of PGA Boulevard.

And on Christmas Day, a 13-year-old girl was fatally shot in the 2200 block of Okada Court.
