Pedestrian seriously injured in Santa Rosa County after being hit by pickup truck

A 29-year-old Brewton male pedestrian is seriously injured after being struck by a pickup truck in Santa Rosa County on Sunday night.

Troopers say the accident occurred at 8:27 p.m. on Munson Highway at Indian Ford Road when the man was walking along the road edge with the flow of traffic and was struck by a black Ford F350 pickup truck driven by a 26-year-old Baker man.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment, according to FHP.

A 2-year-old Fort Worth girl riding as a passenger in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
