Crews responded to a fire that broke out at Appliances 4 Less along Cleveland Avenue (US-41) near Jefferson Avenue in Fort Myers on Tuesday afternoon.

A Gulf Coast News crew at the scene spotted smoke and flames billowing from the building as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.

The Fort Myers Fire Department said there are no reports of injuries at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

US-41 was closed in both directions between Winkler and Collier Avenue due to the incident, the Fort Myers Police Department said. The FMFD said the fire is under control and crews are working to mitigate any possible hot spots.
