Moving truck catches fire in Fort Myers

A moving truck caught fire along Alico Road in Fort Myers early Monday morning.

Crews responded to the scene at the intersection of South Tamiami Trail and Michael G. Rippe Parkway and are investigating the cause of the fire.

Firefighters on the scene confirmed that the vehicle involved was an Eagle Moving truck, but said they do not yet know what started the fire.

The scene has since been cleared, but authorities are still seeking information on whether anyone was injured and what led to the fire.
