 A person was hit by a train on Monday night, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR).

PBCFR states that the crash occurred at the intersection of Washington and 12th streets in Lake Worth Beach. Upon firefighters’ arrival, they found one person lying on the ground next to a bicycle.

Firefighters say the person on the ground met trauma alert criteria and was transported by ground units to a nearby hospital.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
