A motorcyclist was arrested following a fatal pedestrian-involved crash in Bradenton, according to a post from Bradenton police.
It happened Friday just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Manatee Avenue and 21st Street E.
The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, attempted to cross the street without using a crosswalk.
He was then struck by the motorcycle, and again by a second vehicle, and died at the scene.
Police say the motorcyclist, 27-year-old JO, left the scene and later contacted law enforcement. He was arrested without incident and charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.
Police have not been able to contact the pedestrian’s next-of-kin, but say he lived in the area where the crash occurred.
