A mobile home fire was reported in Escambia County on Monday evening.
According to the county, fire happened in the 1500 block of N. 50th Avenue. Fire crews responded to the incident around 10 p.m.
The county says there was visible light smoke once crews arrived. They found the ceiling was on fire.
“Firefighters rapidly applied water, preventing the flames from spreading further and limiting the damage to a small area in the ceiling,” the county said. “The home can be reoccupied after repairs are made.”
The Escambia County EMS and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office provided additional assistance. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
An electrical issue with a ceiling light was determined as the cause of the fire, the county says.
