The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said multiple law enforcement agencies were searching for a missing diver on Sunday.
The diver left from Manasota Beach on Sunday morning, authorities said. The individual has not yet been identified, but authorities said he was a 62-year-old man.
As of 3:42 p.m., the missing diver was located and pronounced dead.
An investigation is still underway and his cause of death is still being determined.
