The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that left one person dead.
Deputies arrived just after 6 a.m. Tuesday at U.S. 17/92 near Steward Road in Davenport, where they found three vehicles involved in a head-on collision.
Northbound lanes on U.S. 17/92 were closed as deputies are on scene investigating.
The victim was identified as Jose Luis Velazquez, 47, of Haines City.
Deputies said y that Velazquez was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
