Two drivers were killed in a wrong-way crash in Weston that shut down all northbound lanes of U.S. 27 early Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened sometime after midnight at the 37-mile marker, near the exit for Interstate 75 and State Road 84.
According to FHP, a Range Rover crashed into a Nissan Altima before the Range Rover caught fire with the driver still trapped inside. It was not immediately clear which vehicle was going the wrong way on the road.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been provided.
The northbound lanes reopened at 6:58 a.m., FHP said.
