A man died Friday morning when he was struck by an SUV that was backing out of a driveway in Palm Coast, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 8:38 a.m. in the Grand Haven Community, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, a 78-year-old Palm Coast woman was driving an SUV and backed out of a driveway when the vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as an 80-year-old Palm Coast man, was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
