A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after his dirt bike slammed into the back of a Tesla in Palm Springs on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators with the Palm Springs Police Department say that a black Tesla was traveling westbound at 3:06 p.m. on the 4200 block of 10th Ave. North.

The Tesla came to a complete stop when the dirt bike collided with the rear of the car.

Police say the teen on the dirtbike was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Both vehicle occupants were uninjured.

Officers urge anyone with information about this incident to contact Officer Fardella at 561.584.8300 ext. 8598 or via email bfardella@vpsfl.org.
