A 54-year-old Deltona woman was killed in a crash Thursday in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman was traveling eastbound on West International Speedway Boulevard.
She then lost control of the vehicle, the FHP said.
It remains unclear why she lost control of the vehicle.
According to the FHP, the driver ran off the roadway and overturned a tree line before she was ejected from the car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
