A serious two-vehicle crash left at least one person injured and heavy debris scattered across the roadway along Summerlin Road and FSW Parkway in Lee County.

The crash happened on Thursday at approximately 11 a.m., and the southbound lanes of Summerlin Rd were shut down after the crash.

According to the South Trail Fire Protection and Rescue Service District, heavy debris from the crash, including an engine block, ended up on the road.

Fire officials said at least one person was transported to the hospital with injuries and that drivers should expect significant delays and detours as the debris is cleared.
