Marion County firefighters lower injured construction worker from roof

Marion County Fire Rescue crews responded to a construction site along Southwest 49th Court in Ocala on Monday morning after a worker injured his back and became stranded on the roof.

According to 911 calls, the worker hurt his back while lifting something heavy and was unable to get down from the roof on his own.

Crews raised a bucket to the roof and lowered the injured worker safely to the ground. The worker was then taken to the hospital.
